Guillermo Salina owner of Bambino’s Bistro has announced the opening of a new restaurant concept which promises to elevate the city of Auburn’s social and dining scenes. The grand opening is set for next week, Thursday, December 19th. The restaurant is located in the old Spirit’s Tavern location on 18 State St. in Downtown Auburn.
“We are beyond excited to be a part of the exciting expansion and revitalization that downtown Auburn is experiencing” says Sean Wrench, Marketing Director and Bar Manager for Osteria Salina . Osteria Salina will provide a hip and trendy atmosphere with an incredible food selection. “Auburn hasn’t seen anything like this” said Wrench. The trendy atmosphere will appeal to many young and old alike in Auburn. “The atmosphere is upscale but the prices are not .” says Wrench.
In addition the restaurant will feature a Bakery and Creperie located next door to the restaurant . On the menu is Italian Cookies, Pastries, Breads, Croissants, Brioche, Crepes and Pannelle’s.
We expect the restaurant to take Auburn’s Culinary, Entertainment and Nightlife to a much needed new level. Osteria Salina will also feature live music every weekend in their 100 person catering hall beginning at their Grand Opening and continuing every weekend.
Osteria Salina’s specialty is Wood Fired Cuisine. The restaurant will also feature an array of Traditional Sicilian dishes, Aged Steaks, Organic Rotisserie Meats, Tapas, Wood Fired Brick Oven Pizzas, and a nightly Raw Bar are just a few more of the restaurants highlights.
Wrench also added that because parking in Downtown Auburn can often be a source of frustration for patrons, Osteria Salina will offer free Valet parking for dinner and bar guests.
Osteria Salina will also feature a stylish full bar with the freshest of cocktails and a specialty Martini menu. Sean Wrench, Bar Manager has created an assortment of creative and original Martini’s. A few of his creations include a Dill Pickle Dirty Martini garnished with Pickled Okra, a Salted Caramel Appletini garnished with fresh slices of Green Apple and Caramel Candies, and a Peanut Butter and Jelly Martini. Wrench says he’s also working on a creation that will feature Bacon and Chocolate.
The Bakery and Creperie will be open daily from 7am to 9pm. The Osteria Salina Bar and Restaurant will be open Sunday to Thursday from 11am to 10pm and then on Friday and Saturday from 11am to 2am.
